Is your PC safe? (part 1)
Many times I’ve stumbled upon a PC which contains lots of malware inside. Lots of people complain that their PCs are getting slow and shows weird symptoms. When I do some inspection, I often find that these people didn’t get the safety protocol right. No antivirus, outdated virus definitions, didn’t update the operating system, no anti-spyware, etc. etc.
Liquid-cooling is on the rise!
A few weeks ago while I was window shopping at Plaza Low Yat, the paradise for all the tech geeks in Malaysia, I realized that more and more liquid-cooling systems were on sale. On the contrary, when I was buying the hardwares for my PC earlier this year, liquid-cooling is still a bit rare there. I was looking for CoolerMaster Aquagate VIVA, the liquid-cooling system for both the CPU or the GPU (or the VGA card). I did find it, after asking the three largest hardware dealers there, for RM280 (about US$75).
Resurrection
It’s been too long since I left this blog dead, and even deleted all my previous posts (there’s only two anyway, and nobody read it). So I’m going to do this blog all over again, and most probably it’s about tech stuff and a little gaming. Since I might be busy or just being lazy, the resurrection process might take some time though.
I’m planning to put a few sections in this reborn blog, which is:
- Articles – A place where all my general articles of computer tech go.
- Play! – Gaming stuff, probably reviews.
- On the forum - Extracts of a forum thread I joined earlier this year. It’s all about tech support.
- D.I.Y. – How to build your own PC.
- Buyer’s Guide – How to make the best out of your buck on PC peripherals.
- About – A general briefing about myself.
I might add up a few more sections later, depending on how free I am.
That’s all for now, hopefully this time it works! Cheers.
